CT Technologist

Job Description\n

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist, is responsible for performing computerized Tomography procedures, including invasive procedures. The role requires proficiency in operating a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Position and instruct patients for procedures.
\n
• Operate specialized equipment and determine technical exposure factors.
\n
• Ensure correct marking and labeling of all imaging films.
\n
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care consistently.
\n
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
\n

Qualifications\n

\n
• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
\n
• Registered ARRT certification.
\n
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
\n
• Minimum of two years of diagnostic experience preferred.
\n

Physical Requirements\n

\n
• Ability to lift 40 pounds from the floor to waist or wheelchair level.
\n
• Ability to move 40 pounds within a short distance.
\n
• Ability to reach overhead while holding 25 pounds.
\n
• Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level and pull patients safely.
\n
• Ability to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher over a distance of 300 feet.
\n
• Requires stamina, flexibility, and good manual dexterity to operate delicate equipment.
\n

Skills\n

\n
• Demonstrated accurate judgment and decision-making abilities consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
\n
• Strong customer service skills and ability to provide quality patient care following established policies and procedures.
\n
• Proficient in computer skills related to imaging technology.
\n

Work Schedule\n

This position requires a Monday to Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, for a total of 40 hours per week. Holiday coverage is not required.
