• Location: Kankakee, Illinois (60901) – Illinois healthcare jobs\n
• Facility Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Float Pool (Med/Surg, Telemetry, IMCU, Rehab, Behavioral Health)\n
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)\n
• Shift: 12-hour days (5:00am – 5:30pm)\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910\n
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse jobs\n
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Illinois RN license (must have license in hand)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (float pool experience preferred)\n
• EPIC EMR charting experience required\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
• NIHSS certification preferred\n
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred (no first-time travelers for float pool)\n
• Valid driver's license required for submission\n

\n\nMed/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Float between Med/Surg, Med Peds, Telemetry, IMCU, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units as needed\n
• Deliver high-quality patient care for diverse diagnoses: acute surgical, orthopedic/neuro, detox, hospice, pediatric respiratory illness, CHF, and post-surgical cases\n
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 (IMCU 1:5); collaborate with LPNs and CNAs\n
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR\n
• Administer and monitor medications, including titrating heparin per protocol\n
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical training\n
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n
• Follow facility policies, including daily assignment check-in and scrub color guidelines (Caribbean blue)\n
