American Traveler is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel contract at a remote rural hospital in Oregon, working four 10-hour shifts Friday through Monday.

Requirements\n

  • Active Oregon OT license required (license required if applicable)

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AAOTA-accredited program

  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • \n
  • Valid Oregon driver's license required
  • \n
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy as it relates to physical disability, rehabilitation, general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts
  • \n
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
  • \n

  • This facility is in a highly remote location — the nearest major airport (Reno, NV) is approximately 3.5–4 hours away; candidates should be fully prepared for and committed to this remote setting before applying

  • Evaluates patients and plans, directs, or performs educational, vocational, and recreational therapeutic activities designed to restore maximum function
  • \n
  • Collaborates with patients' families and interdisciplinary health team members regarding patient abilities and goals
  • \n
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential in this collaborative care environment
  • \n
  • Rehabilitation certifications such as ASHA, CHT, or ACP Training may be relevant to this role
