Job Description\nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and prior Med/Surg experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n- Work in a 24-bed Med/Surg unit with a patient ratio of 4-5:1
- Patient population includes general Med/Surg cases and post-op orthopedic patients such as surgical hips and knees
- Uses remote telemetry tech unit monitoring and manages heparin drips
- Epic EMR is utilized on the unit
- Travelers may be required to float across multiple campuses
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy blue solid scrubs are required
- Holiday coverage is required for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Only one day of requested time off is permitted during peak holiday periods
- Position may require floating to different campuses as needed
- Must provide a recent supervisory reference from within the last 2 years
- Returning travelers must not have been employed by the client within the past 12 months
- Active Iowa or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
- BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
