American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute inpatient, swing bed, and outpatient setting in a fast-paced environment.
Details\n- \n
- Acute inpatient, swing bed rehab, and outpatient coverage required across the shift \n
- Typical daily split is approximately 2–3 hours of inpatient/swing bed followed by outpatient coverage \n
- Patient census for inpatient/swing bed is generally 3–4 patients per shift \n
- Average caseload of 10–12 patients per 8-hour day \n
- Common diagnoses include post-surgical orthopedic, general pain, neurological conditions, balance disorders, and general weakness \n
- Charting is done in Cerner; the facility is transitioning to Epic \n
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; 4x10 shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) may also be considered \n
- No weekend or holiday shifts required \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Minimum 1 year of PT experience outside of clinical rotations required; 3+ years preferred \n
- Inpatient experience preferred; candidates with outpatient-only experience will be considered \n
- Active WI PT license required by start date (license required if applicable) \n
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required \n
- Cerner experience preferred \n
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment \n
- 2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years \n

- Responsibilities span evaluation and treatment across acute inpatient, swing bed rehab, and outpatient settings within a single shift \n
- A rehab aide is on staff handling scheduling, authorizations, cleaning, stocking, and record requests; no PTAs on staff \n
- Orientation begins on day one with one-on-one training from the manager and computer-based modules, followed by 1–2 days with a preceptor; independent patient care is expected by day 2 with a full caseload by day 3 \n
- Scrubs or business casual attire accepted; closed-toe shoes required \n
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date; hospital approval is also required \n
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, which may affect the travel pay rate \n
