    Job Details
  • Assess, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders.
  • Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory care students.
  • Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment.
  • Provides high quality respiratory care to the following patient populations: Neonate, Infant, Toddler, School Age, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
    Job Requirements
  • BLS (AHA or ARC acceptable) required for clinical positions.
  • NRP certification required.
  • Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification as required for the position within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration.
  • Must have completed education verified through 3rd party, combined with diploma and/or transcripts if needed.
  • Drug screen within 30 days of start - 9 panel including Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Opiates, Oxycodone, and Phencyclidine.
  • Complete GRH Skills Checklist within 12 months - does not expire.
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted.
  • MMR: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • Fit test completed prior to start with acceptable masks.
  • Hepatitis B: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • TB test: proof of negative test completed in past year or documentation if history of positive test.
  • Health statement from physician within last 12 months.
  • Current driver's license or state ID that does not expire during assignment.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • Tdap valid for 10 years from administered date; declinations accepted.
  • Background check within 30 days of start including SS trace and county search for last 7 years.
  • Iowa Adult and Child Abuse state requirement.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start.
  • Two professional references required, one must be from supervisor.
  • Resume or profile submission required.
  • I-9 attestation completed.
  • Color vision test.
  • Contract employee data sheet.
  • NSO check within 30 days of start.
  • OFAC check within 30 days of start.
  • Evergreen Link acknowledgment within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
  • OSHA questionnaire completed by candidate.
  • Pre-orientation CBL acknowledgment form.
  • Influenza vaccine or facility declination accepted, due by December 1 annually.
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hour shifts.
  • Every other weekend is required.
  • On call required once every scheduling period.
  • May cover other shifts as needed.
    Additional Details
  • Some pediatric experience preferred.
