Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Spine Unit position requiring at least 1 year of acute care Med/Surg experience and active CO or compact RN license, working night shifts in a hospital setting.

Details\n

\n
• Works on a 18–20 bed Spine unit (7 North-Spine) within a hospital's main building
\n
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
\n
• Unit staffing on nights includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1–2 PCTs
\n
• Patient ratio is 6:1 with LPN support
\n
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, air mattresses, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
\n
• EMR system: Meditech
\n
• Procedures include wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
\n
• At least 2 years of total clinical experience required
\n
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
\n
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions
\n
• One professional reference required
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Burn care experience is preferred
\n
• Wound care and ostomy care experience is preferred
\n
• ACLS certification is preferred
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
\n
• The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a positive attitude
