• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990 (competitive travel nurse pay)\n

• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated facility\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (6/15/2026 – 9/14/2026)\n
• Shift: 3x12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry RN ratio)\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
• Orientation: 16 hours\n
• Parking: Permit required, no cost\n

\n\nQualifications / Job Requirements (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN)\n

\n
• Required: Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown / IMC / PCU RN experience\n
• Required: Active Illinois RN license (must have at submission)\n
• Required: BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA or Red Cross only)\n
• Preferred: ACLS certification\n
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and neuro stepdown care\n
• Previous travel experience required.\n
• Cerner electronic charting experience preferred\n
• Level I Trauma experience preferred\n
• Ability to float within clinical scope as needed\n
• Must be able to care for ventilated patients and manage tracheostomies\n

\n\nResponsibilities (Cardiac / Telemetry / IMC RN)\n

\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a dedicated IMC / Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry unit\n
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, telemetry strips, and continuous cardiac monitoring\n
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations as appropriate\n
• Care for post-cardiac angiogram, MI, cardiac cath, cardiac surgery patients, and perform sheath removal care\n
• Manage feeding tubes, pre/post hemodialysis care, renal failure, and complex IV therapies\n
• Administer blood products, cardiac and vasoactive drips, procedural sedation, and wound care\n
• Provide care for patients with neurological, orthopedic, plastic surgery, and respiratory needs\n
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services to optimize patient outcomes\n
• Float to other units within scope as needed to meet facility staffing and patient-care needs\n
