Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and AHA certifications.

Details
  • Work in a 20-bed Emergency Department at a Joint Commission-accredited, Duke LifePoint hospital
  • High-paced, high-acuity rural ED serving a diverse patient population (adult, pediatric, geriatric)
  • Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
  • Preferred experience includes peripheral IV insertion, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI management
  • EMR system: Paragon
  • Day shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
  • Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
  • No on-call requirements
Requirements
  • Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
  • AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS, ACLS — AHA-issued cards required)
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
  • The ED is described as the region's largest and most comprehensive, also operating a free-standing ED location
  • Scrub colors: black, navy, or royal blue
  • Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Orientation dates are available on a bi-weekly basis throughout the contract period
