American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a high-acuity, rural hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and an NC or compact RN license.
Details- Work setting is a fast-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds
- Patient population is varied, including adult and pediatric cases
- Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
- Preferred experience includes peripheral IV, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases
- EMR system is Paragon
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; verify additional AHA certs per role)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- The facility is a Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint hospital with the region's largest and most comprehensive ED, including a free-standing ED
- Scrub colors are limited to black, navy, and royal blue
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
