American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Rutherfordton, NC, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and AHA certifications.

- Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department at a 143-bed acute care facility with no trauma designation \n
- Designated Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited facility \n
- Serves an all-ages patient population with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, CVA, and pneumonia \n
- Patient ratios: Main area (12 beds) 4:1; Fast Track (5 rooms) 5:1; Extension from main (6 beds) 6:1 with Medic and Charge assist \n
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No call or float requirements \n
- EMR: Meditech \n

- Active RN license — NC or Compact license required \n
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required \n
- AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be in hand prior to start \n
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required \n
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration \n
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates \n
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months \n
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere \n
