Overview:

As a Medical Assistant at Solutions Functional Medicine, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and enhancing the patient experience. You will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our practice.

Responsibilities:

- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.

- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information accurately.

- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring a clean and organized environment.

- Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations efficiently.

- Process patient intake forms.

- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with specimen collection as needed.

- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is a plus.

- Familiarity with functional medicine principles is desirable.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and basic office software.

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
