Job Requirements\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
\n
• Compact RN license in hand at time of submission, if applicable
\n
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 2 years preferred based on unit needs
\n
• Experience with AWHONN patient ratios and maternal-child care workflows
\n
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and STABLE
\n
• Experience with cesarean sections, labor triage, vaginal delivery, postpartum care, and nursery care
\n
• Ability to care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, and newborn patients
\n
• Experience using external fetal monitoring and recognizing abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
\n
• Must be flexible with scheduling, floating, and holiday coverage as needed
\n

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
\n
• Support full-scope Level 1 triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care
\n
• Assist with C-sections, including circulating for cesarean deliveries
\n
• Perform assessments, interventions, and ongoing monitoring for obstetrical patients
\n
• Use clinical judgment to identify and respond to changes in fetal and maternal status
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
\n
• Float between units as needed to meet patient care demands
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Epic)
\n
