RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• Care for patients on a 25-bed medical/telemetry unit including swing bed patients
\n• Patient population includes COPD exacerbations, CHF, wound care, long-term antibiotic patients, amputations, post-partum, and pediatric patients
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 being maximum capacity
\n• May float to Emergency Department as task nurse when needed
\n• Utilize Meditech Expanse computer charting system and Alaris pumps
\n• Work with central telemetry monitoring and two portable tele monitors
\n• Navy blue scrubs required
\n• Three-day classroom orientation plus one preceptor shift held every Wednesday
\n• Minimum 2 years medical/surgical telemetry experience required
\n• Previous Critical Access Hospital experience required
\n• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications required
\n• PALS certification preferred
\n• Charge nurse available every shift without patient assignment
\n• Social services and case management support available on floor

This Critical Access Hospital operates a 25-bed medical/telemetry unit with emphasis on swing bed services to provide extended care for patients requiring longer stays. The facility offers comprehensive services including 24/7 lab services, in-house pharmacy until 11:00 PM Monday-Friday with remote pharmacist coverage overnight and weekends, and excellent therapy services with multiple daily patient visits. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support patient care while providing a supportive work environment with dedicated charge nurses and ancillary staff.
