Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Server/Waiter/Waitress with a strong background in wine to join our team at Vino Bistro – a cozy and vibrant wine and tapas bar offering curated wines and gourmet small plates. The ideal candidate will create an exceptional dining experience by pairing wine expertise with outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through our wine and tapas menu.

• Offer informed wine recommendations and suggest pairings with food items.

• Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food and wine.

• Take orders accurately and efficiently, either by writing them down or memorizing.

• Communicate customer orders clearly to kitchen and bar staff.

• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to additional requests throughout the dining experience.

• Clear and reset tables between courses and after guests depart.

• Present the bill, accept payments, or direct guests to the cashier as needed.

• Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a wine bar, upscale restaurant, or similar hospitality setting.

• Strong knowledge of wines, varietals, regions, and wine/food pairing principles.

• Wine certification (e.g., WSET, CMS) is a plus but not required.
