Position: Travel X-Ray Technologist
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Extension Opportunities Available)
Schedule: Variable shifts based on department needs (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays)
IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team at one of Indiana's premier Level I Trauma Centers. The ideal candidate is a motivated technologist who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform routine and portable diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and department protocols. \n
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. \n
- Operate digital radiography and portable X-ray equipment. \n
- Maintain compliance with ALARA radiation safety standards. \n
- Perform imaging for Emergency Department, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and surgical patients. \n
- Document procedures accurately within the Cerner EMR and PACS. \n
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. \n
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure exam rooms are prepared for patient care. \n
- Adhere to all infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies. \n
- \n
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. \n
- ARRT (R) certification required. \n
- Indiana Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start). \n
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association). \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital X-Ray experience. \n
- Experience performing portable radiography and trauma imaging. \n
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume hospital setting. \n

- Siemens digital radiography experience preferred. \n
- Cerner EMR experience preferred. \n
- Previous Level I Trauma Center experience. \n
- Previous travel healthcare experience. \n
- Experience working with portable X-ray equipment in ICU, ED, and OR settings. \n
