Job Description:
\n The EEG Technologist provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. Performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision.

\n Essential Functions:
\n -Cleans and disinfects equipment with appropriate solutions.
\n -Follows infection control policies.
\n -Completes all types of neurodiagnostic tests.
\n -Documents appropriate data in patient chart and lab files.
\n -Explains tests, procedures to patients in order to obtain optimal results.
\n -Notifies Neuroscience physician as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings.
\n -Performs accurate documentation.
\n -Performs all types of EEGs to include ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence and standard lab EEGs.
\n -Prepares patients for examinations and procedures.
\n -Provides patient with instructions/explanations as needed.
\n -Understands and communicates based on age-appropriate information.
\n -Troubleshoots equipment, follows division policy to arrange repair service when indicated.
