American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity CVICU position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.

- CVICU setting within a 1,266-bed short-term acute care Magnet and Level I Trauma teaching hospital \n
- High-acuity patient population including acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, cardiogenic shock, complete heart block, pre-heart transplant, post-cardiac arrest, and complex arrhythmias such as ventricular tachycardia \n
- Patient ratio of 1:2 \n
- Specialized procedures and equipment include ventilator management, arterial line management, pulmonary artery (PA) catheter monitoring, transvenous pacemakers (TVP), intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and LVADs \n
- Additional clinical responsibilities include vasoactive drip management, central line care, dialysis, and Foley catheter management \n
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Floating within the cardiovascular service line as needed \n
- Charting via Epic (experience required) \n
- Navy blue scrubs required \n

- Active MO state RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration \n
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS \n
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required \n
- Specific experience required with ventilators, arterial lines, PA catheters, pacemakers, Impella, IABP, and LVADs \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible \n
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position \n
- \n
- Must pass a Relias EKG exam prior to or at the start of the assignment \n
- No ICU experience outside of cardiac/CVICU will be considered (neuro ICU experience does not qualify) \n
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract period, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation \n
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler \n
- Travelers may work at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required before returning \n
- Parking passes are available for purchase through the facility's Public Safety department; travelers working straight night shifts receive complimentary parking \n
