Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

\nRN - MedSurg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
\n• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
\n• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
\n• Float to all inpatient units as needed
\n• Work in a fast-paced 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients
\n• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on day/PM shifts and 1:5 to 1:7 on night shifts
\n• Unit averages 10-15 admissions per day with occupancy at 90-95% during the week
\n• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
\n• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
\n• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
\n• Trauma Level II experience required
\n• Prior travel experience required
\n• Epic EMR experience required
\n• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
\n• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
\n• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
\n• Any color scrubs permitted

\nThis facility is a large inpatient hospital offering a wide range of medical and surgical services. The Post Surgical Care Unit is a 40-bed inpatient area that provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients following recovery from the PACU. The facility operates at a high occupancy rate and maintains a fast-paced environment, supported by modern technology and a collaborative care team.
