p style="text-align:left"bWhen you join the growing BILH team, you#39;re not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives./b/pp/pp/pSaturdays Sundays and Holidaysp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bJob Description:/b/ppbPrimary Responsibilities/b/pp/ppFollows work schedule and performs all daily and weekly job tasks in assigned work area to meet department standards of cleanliness./ppUnderstands and follows department procedures at all times./ppFollows instructions and responds to work assignments from the manager or lead person all of the time./ppProvides thorough cleaning and restocks all supplies in assigned work areas (patient rooms, rest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, etc.)./ppManages work time in an efficient manner, and completes work scheduled by the end of the shift./ppInspects work area and performs necessary cleaning tasks independently./ppCleans floors by dry mopping and damp mopping them, including edges and corners. Moves and cleans behind equipment, etc., as needed./ppTakes the initiative to make sufficient time for low and high dusting of assigned areas. Keeps vents dust free./ppRemoves trash from assigned work areas at the beginning and end of shift./ppSpot washes walls or carpets as needed./ppPolishes stainless steel, brass, and other smooth surfaces according to work schedule./ppMaintains department equipment and keeps all equipment clean and safe. Notifies supervisor of any equipment problems or unsafe working conditions./ppMaintains adequate par level of supplies in floor closets and on carts at all times. Maintains a neat, organized, housekeeping cart and closet./ppAttends hospital/department inservices and meetings as required./ppbFor staff working in patient care areas only/b:/ppArranges work schedule accordingly to assist with the timely cleaning of discharged beds./ppEnsures that cleaned rooms are well organized, with the correct amount of chairs in the room and a patient guide at the bedside at all times./ppAssists Nursing staff with keeping laundry bags emptied./ppMoves equipment to and from patient rooms to storage areas./pp/ppbRequired Qualifications  /b/pp/pp/ppCleaning experience in a hospital or industrial setting, with experience in sanitation principles and techniques preferred./ppAbility to read and write in order to understand directions and warnings on cleaning supplies and various postings, and to complete logs./ppInterpersonal skills to be pleasant and courteous and interact with patients, visitors, and all levels of hospital staff./ppAbility to pay close attention to detail for a majority of the workday./pp style="text-align:inherit"/ph2As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
