pstrongPosition Summary:nbsp;/strong/ppspanResponsible for blending and mixing of various pigments, resins, hardeners, and other raw material additives to produce acceptable in-process batches per approved batch instruction sheets with a minimal number of corrections./span/ppstrongEssential Functions:nbsp;/strong/pullispanStages and prepares all raw materials associated with production batches/span/lilispanMaintains orderliness and cleanliness in batch making area and proper storage of batch area inventories/span/lilispanCommunicates low levels of raw materials to the Plant Supervisor/span/lilispanDevelops a thorough knowledge of raw material storage tanks, valving and piping, their contents, actuation, and directions of flow/span/lilispanMaintains a good working relationship with Quality Control/span/lilispanMust be capable of logical structuring of the batch making process, particularly optimization of mixer usage and efficiency/span/lilispanReports on all spills and leaks, equipment malfunction, safety hazards, accidents, near-miss accidents, and material shortages immediately to the production supervisor/span/lilispanAcknowledges and understands the hazards and safety precautions required for working with inorganic metal-based powdered pigments and modifies work and hygiene practices accordingly./span/li/ulpstrongPreferred Requirements:/strong/pullispanSome college level chemistrynbsp;/span/lilispanSector-specific batching/manufacturing experience/span/li/ulpspanstrongMinimum Requirements:/strong/span/pullispanHigh school diploma or GED/span/lilispanMinimum 2 years prior related experience or 1 years’ experience as a production batchmaker./span/lilispanAbility to take initiative in completing assigned work and projects./span/lilispanExcellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities./span/lilispanAbility to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise./span/lilispanStrong communication skills./span/li/ulpspanstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/span/pullispanMust pass standard eye exam (corrected or uncorrected) and must pass standard color-tone testing/span/lilispanMust be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by a fit test performed by an authorized agency/span/lilispanLifting up to 50 lbs./span/lilispanStooping, bending, squatting up to 50% of the time/span/lilispanStanding and walking up to 90% of the time./span/lilispanThis position requires consistent wearing of safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes; with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances./span/li/ulp style="background-color:white;line-height:15.0pt;vertical-align:baseline;"span style="color:black;"strongBenefits and Compensation/strong/span/pp style="background-color:white;line-height:15.0pt;vertical-align:baseline;"span style="color:black;"The pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $21.00/hour and $23.00/hour.
