Applications are reviewed on a need-by basis./pp/ph2bResponsibilities and Duties Include:/b/h2ulliPlans, organizes, and delivers instruction to didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings to promote student success within a community college setting and align with the IAHCSMM curriculum guidelines./liliSupports and promotes the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and timely service./liliCollaborates with the Director, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates the mastery of course content./liliCorrelates clinical education with didactic education and evaluates student performance and learning./liliDemonstrates technological literacy and innovation in the delivery of instruction./liliWorks collaboratively as part of a cohesive academic team./liliAssists with the implementation of college policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with the SF philosophy, mission, strategic initiatives, and procedures./liliUnderstands and enforces college and program policies./liliParticipates in departmental meetings and collegewide committees as needed./liliProvides students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance./liliAppropriately documents student progress and maintains records including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes./liliDevelops methods that fairly and accurately assess students’ progress in achieving the stated learning outcomes/objectives./liliMaintains appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment./liliAssists and advises students with academic, clinical, and professional issues./liliAssist the Program Director with preparing reports for internal and external audiences./liliCoordinates, implements and evaluates the clinical education component of the curriculum; (i.e. initiate and maintain clinical affiliate contracts, student clinical rotation placement, clinical affiliate visits and evaluations); ensures effective program operation and compliance with IAHCSMM, SACS, or other regulatory agency requirements./liliAssists in the recruitment activities of the program./liliMaintains current knowledge of Central Sterile Processing and educational methodologies within higher education via appropriate workshops, seminars, courses, and educational conferences./liliMaintains good standing with credentialing and licensing bodies./liliStrictly honors the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures./liliComplies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality./liliProvides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement./liliPerforms other duties as assigned. /li/ulp/ppspanReports to: Chair, Allied Health Programs/span/pp/ph2bspanQUALIFICATIONS/span/b/h2pbRequired: /bA master#39;s degree in a field of Biological Sciences in any combination of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Histology, Kinesiology, Medical Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacology, Physiology, System Physiology, Veterinary Physiology or Pathology, Zoology, Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, or Nursing.
