pstrongJob Summary/strongnbsp;br/br/The Health Information Management Tech is responsible for support functions for the Health Information Management (HIM) department, including but not limited to daily pick up and reconciliation of discharged encounters, prepping/scanning of facility medical records. This role assists with other tasks as assigned by HIM leadership.nbsp;br/br/strongEssential Functions/strong/p ul liDemonstrates competencies in performance of HIM Tech duties including collecting, prepping and scanning of medical record documents for permanent storage in the electronic medical record./li liCompletes daily chart reconciliation process including following up on any missing charts and escalating to HIM leadership as necessary./li liMaintains Trigger Queues/Scan Reconciliation within 24 hours/li liMonitors other EMR queues on a daily basis as assigned by HIM leadership/li liPerforms other duties as assigned./li liComplies with all policies and standards./li /ul pstrongQualifications/strong/p ul liH.S. Diploma or GED required/li li0-1 years Medical Record processing required/li li1-2 years Medical Record processing preferred/li /ul pstrongKnowledge, Skills and Abilities/strong/p ul liInformation systems and healthcare applications/li liExperience with Electronic Medical Records/li liMedical terminology and knowledge of medical record documents/li liExcellent verbal and written communications skills./li liExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail./li liExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines./li /ul
