pWorks as a team member of the food distribution component by ensuring prepared food reaches its final destination timely, accurately and according to policy. Acts as the daily point of contact with home delivered clients during meal drop offs. Carries out duties in accordance with State, Funder, and Agency policies and regulations./p
pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong:/span/p
ul
liVerifies that the proper amount of meals have been provided for distribution according to prepared lists obtained on Smart Phone or tablet./li
liPlaces cold meals in proper chilling equipment (coolers with ice packs)./li
liPlaces hot food containers in proper heating equipment (insulated containers)./li
liLoads food into delivery vehicle./li
liInsures proper temperatures of hot and cold foods maintained throughout the entire distribution period./li
liTransports prepared foods and supplies to drop off points, congregate nutrition sites and homebound clients./li
liTrains volunteers on loading vans and delivering food./li
liAssists with monitoring volunteer workers during delivery; reports concerns to supervisor./li
liFollows dress and sanitation codes./li
liReports any client related occurrences, incidents or concerns to appropriate Agency staff immediately; logs information reported on driver log; completes Agency incident report if applicable./li
liCompletes Agency Vehicle Pre and Post Trip Inspection Form daily; informs Operations Leader of any concerns with vehicle maintenance or interior/exterior of vehicle./li
liMaintains gas records, van records and other reports as required./li
liMaintains internal and external cleanliness of delivery vehicle./li
liAssists with scheduling routine and non-routine vehicle maintenance./li
liPerforms other related duties as needed and assists with occasional special events as requested./li
liUses computer for basic purposes such as reading Agency information/e-mail, annual In Service Solutions required trainings and filling out basic forms/li
liResponsible for the security of Agency owned distribution technology (Smart Phone, tablets and related equipment.)/li
liOperates agency vehicles safely in accordance with agency and New York State guidelines./li
liWorks within policies, procedures and program regulations./li

liMust have knowledge of food service regulations including NYS DOH Safety and Sanitation Codes./li
liMust be able to apply the fundamentals of nutrition as they apply to the population of the program./li
liMust maintain confidentiality with regard to program and client information./li
liMust have good oral and written communication skills and be able to relate well with all ages./li
liMust have basic computer skills and be familiar with information technology (Smart Phones and tablets, and related equipment.)/li
liMust work well in a team setting and be cooperative./li
liMust display good judgment, integrity and tact./li
liMust be able to regularly lift in excess of 35 lbs./li
liMust be flexible with duties and work schedule./li
liMust be organized./li
liMust maintain OCO Driving Certification for Agency and personal vehicles./li

liMust possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.; and/li
liSix to twelve months related experience; or/li
liAny equivalent combination of education, experience, and training./li
liMust have a valid NYS Driver’s License with driving record within Agency policy./li
