pRegions Hospital is hiring compassionate, collaborative, and committed Patient Care Assistants who are driven to provide excellent care to our patients! When you start your career as a Patient Care Assistant you will receive 2-3 weeks of training with our nursing education team to learn more about our electronic health system, hospital safety, disengagement skills and restraints, and unlicensed assistive partner skills. Being a part of the nursing team at Regions means you will use your technical and people skills to positively impact the type of care our patients receive and overall experience.nbsp;/p
pAs a Patient Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the patient with activities of daily living (ADLs), providing patient care treatments which include but are not limited to, discontinuing IVs, restraint monitoring, and collecting patient vitals, weights, and intake amp; output all in a safe, timely, and effective matter. This position regularly collects specimens such as urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose at the direction of the nurse. The patient care assistant responds to patient call lights and requests, communicates with patients and visitors, and assist the nurses with procedures as requested. This position also documents and charts in our electronic health system.nbsp;/p
pstronguWork Schedule/FTE: /u/strongWe are currently looking to hire for various in-patient units at 28 hours a week (.7 FTE) and either days (7am-3:30pm), evenings (3pm-11:30pm) or a combination of days and evenings. This position requires you work every other weekend and holiday./p

liCompletion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program (may include being listed on the MN registry) (must have occurred within the last 5 years)/li

liExperience in an acute care or long-term care setting as a nursing assistant (minimum 6 months of experience at a .5 FTE and has occurred within the last 5 years)/li

liCompletion of one clinical rotation in a RN or LPN program within the past 12 months/li

ul
liExperience as an Emergency room Technician (minimum of 6 months at a .5 FTE and has occurred within last 5 years)nbsp;/li

liA current Basic Life Support CPR certification from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association./li

liPrior experience in acute care or hospital setting/li
liNursing assistant certification/li
liProficiency using Electronic Health Record (EPIC)/li
