All duties are to be performed in collaboration with team members. Duties and responsibilities are performed according to standards outlined in competency based/evaluation tool. The CNA participates in and accepts responsibility for functions delegated to the team. This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality service to our patients, the public and our co-workers.p/ppbuEssential Functions amp; Responsibilities:/u/b/pp/ppbAssists patients in their routine activities of daily living, including but not limited to: /b/pulliPerforms range of motion./liliAmbulates patient./liliPositions patient and provides skin care./liliDistributes linen and changes bed as needed./liliAssists with feeding and meal delivery./liliAssists with routine hygiene care including toileting and incontinent care, as well as appropriate oral and personal hygiene./li/ulp/ppbAssists patient care team in collection of patient data and specimens: /b/pulliObtains urine, stool, and sputum specimens and processes specimens as needed./liliObtains and records heath, weights, vital signs, including pulse oximetry and pain assessment and Iamp;O./liliCommunicates patient status and reports changes in patient condition to licensed professional./li/ulp/ppbAssists patient care team by performing and explaining designated patient care procedures: /b/pulliPerforms incentive spirometry./liliTransports patient. Preps for diagnostic tests./liliAssists rehab therapists (PM amp; R)./liliPerforms pulse oximetry/oxygen set up in oxygen therapy./liliPrepares room (supplies). Provides post mortem care./liliPrepares for admission and discharge./liliAssists nurse in emergency situations./liliMaintains and cleans equipment./liliPerforms suction (oral, naso pharynx)./liliPerforms blood sugar finger sticks./liliRemoves IV catheters per licensed nurse instruction./liliPerforms EKGs (department specific responsibility)./li/ulp/ppbResponsibilities include but are not limited to: /b/pulliAnswers unit phone and directs calls accordingly./liliPerforms data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately./liliPerforms selected patient registration activities./liliCoordinates equipment/supply needs.
