Important role in that it entails the safety of the very vulnerable and dependent./ppstrongPrincipal Accountabilities:/strong/pul type="disc"liSupports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the Parish/liliActs as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church/liliSupports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the Parish and the Diocese./liliAbides by the Confidentiality Policy outlined in the Diocese Employee Handbook/liliGuides educational/recreational activities appropriate to the age level of each child in the program./liliPractice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the program./liliAssists participants in the development of habits of caring for children#39;s own clothing and picking up and putting away toys, books, and crafts./liliArrange medical attention for ill or injured participants per parental instructions and diocesan guidelines./liliEnsures accurate attendance information is kept aiding in the proper billing of charges to parents./liliCommunicate with parents regarding the program./liliDemonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits./liliMaintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the Parish, students, and staff./li/ulpstrongSupervision Given and/or Received:/strong/ppModerate supervision given by Director, Business Manager and Pastor.nbsp;/ppstrongnbsp;/strong/ppstrongInternal Contacts:/strong/pulliDiocese Pastors, Priests, Principals, Business Managers, and employees./li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongExternal Contacts:/strong/pulliParishioners, diocese vendors, local, state, and federal agency representatives, and auditors./li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongWorking Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:/strong/pulliAbility to accept work interruptions while still remaining focused on duties./liliRequired to work a shift or parts of a shift that begins at 7:15 am and end at 3:15 pm/liliRequired to manage moderate levels of stress/liliRequired to work in standard school conditions/liliRequired to lift or carry supplies, textbooks, furniture, and equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds/liliRequires lifting and picking up toddlers./liliRequired to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion/liliRequired to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak daily/liliRequired to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading/liliRequired to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise, activity, and inclement weather/li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongTravel Requirements:/strong/pulliInfrequent travel, by car, may be required to Diocese Parishes and/or schools./li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongEducation and Experience Preferred:/strong/ppstrongnbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;nbsp;/strongHigh School Diploma/ppnbsp;/ppstrongKnowledge and Skills Preferred:/strong/pulliKnowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church/liliKnowledge of child development, learning, and behavior/liliAble to manage student behavior in a program setting./liliAble to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form./liliAble to work well with others in the school community./liliSkill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously/liliSkill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format/liliSkill in job-appropriate technology/liliSkill in critical thinking and planning/liliCPR/ Pediatric First Aidnbsp;certified (may complete after you are hired)/lili24 clock hour annual training in Texas childcare and Fort Worth Child care training.
