Maintenance experience with Thermo King or Carrier is a plus. The ideal employee should display readiness to diagnose equipment failures and have the skills to repair equipment in accordance with the Leonard's safety standards for all of the equipment assigned to the Farmington terminal. Additionally, the Trailer Technician plays a role in the ongoing day-to-day functions of Leonard's Express. The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:/pulliTroubleshoots and repairs electrical trailer malfunctions/liliUtilizes gauges, special tools and specialized equipment to diagnose mechanic failure and problems, can operate shop equipment/liliReads schematics associated with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment/liliAdjusts brakes, replaces linings, drums, cams and bushings/liliCompletes wheel alignment installs and balance wheels/liliConstructs, maintains or services shop equipment when necessary/liliPreforms preventative trailer maintenance inspections/liliFollows all safety protocols to include wearing protective gear and maintain a clean and safe work environment/liliProvides quality repairs and achieves time per repair standards/liliMaintains compliance to parts procedures/liliExperience with wall repair, skins and door replacement/liliPerforms other related duties as assigned/li/ulpRequirements/ppBased on the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, the Trailer Technician should have a number of professional skills and abilities:/pulliGood interpersonal and customer service skills. Provide positive interaction with peers, leaders and internal customers/liliSound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail/liliThe ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines, and manage the related stress/liliHave the desire to learn shop procedures and technical information, take initiative/li/ulpbr//ppBased on the technical and professional responsibilities of the position, the Trailer Technician is required to have:/pulliHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)/liliMinimum of 1 year experience with 53'/48' equipment with component training certifications or trailer tech certification/liliWorking knowledge of suspension system including air bags/liliOwn basic set of tools/liliBrake certification, we can provide/liliMust have a valid driver’s license/liliPhysical and manual dexterity skills/li/ulpbr//ppThe Trailer Technician is primarily located work environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Physical requirements include:/pulliMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently plus lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on occasion with assistance/liliMust be on time for all scheduled shifts and work all scheduled days. Provide proper notice and reason in case you are unable to work all scheduled days./li/ulpTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
