Incumbent isnbsp;also required to assist in the installation and repair of thenbsp;water distribution and collection system.nbsp;emThis is a safety-nbsp;sensitive position requiring screening for illegal substance andnbsp;alcohol use.nbsp;/emWork is reviewed by the Team Leader throughnbsp;observation and verbal and/or written reports for adherence tonbsp;establishednbsp;policiesnbsp;andnbsp;procedures.brnbsp;/ph2Position Duties/h2pOperates a wide range of equipment and tools including but not limited to locating devices, vactor truck, television inspection truck, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, tractors, front-end loaders, and power and hand mechanical tools.nbsp;brbrResponds to questions from the public; handles citizens’ complaints; calls emergency personnel as needed.nbsp;brbrAssists when necessary and in emergency situations in repair and replacement of water and sewer lines.nbsp;brbrDevelops and maintains accurate and current maintenance and service records, records all field data in a timely manner and prepares a variety of computer-generated reports.nbsp;brbrPerforms cleaning and television inspections of the wastewater collection system, identifies and documents issues within the system, and ultimately aids in the repair of collection system facilities.brnbsp;brAssists other personnel as required.nbsp;brbrNOTE: nbsp; The examples of essential functions as listed in this classification specification are not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class.
