In conjunction with the provider during office visits, will provide injury prevention, treatment, and care planning for the orthopedic and sports medicine patient based on provider protocol.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ph2ubJob Description:/b/u/h2div/divdivdivdivdivpbSchedule: /b/ppbspanMonday-Friday 7am-7pmbr /Sat amp; Sun 7am-3pmbr /Weekend Rotation 1/5/span/b/p/div/div/div/divdiv/divdivdivdivdivpbKey Accountabilities /b/pullipGathers pertinent clinical patient information and documents to ensure accuracy of the patients’ medical record./p/lilipCoordinates care with the physician to provide education regarding injury prevention and treatment./p/lilipConsults with the physician to create the patients plan of care./p/lilipActs as a scribe for the physician for each patient/physician experience to improve clinic/patient flow and efficiencies./p/lilipPreparation and/or assisting with in office procedures to provide optimal patient experience and quality care./p/lilipCasting and splinting; fits crutches, braces and other durable medical equipment to achieve best practice and highest quality patient outcomes./p/lilipDemonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, team members, and providers. Knowledge of state law and national regulations, athletic training guidelines as outlined by the National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) and state of Wisconsin licensure, clinic policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met./p/lilipPerforms other clinical and administrative tasks that allow for effective use of resources to best serve the patient’s needs./p/li/ulp/ppbQualifications Athletic Trainer:/b/pullipBachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training/p/lilipCertified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC)/p/lilipLicensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Wisconsin./p/lilipAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)/p/li/ulp/ppbQUALIFICATIONS CMA: /b/pullipValid certification or registration through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) or National Healthcare Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or a valid State of Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse license.
