A Denny’s Host or Hostess has a “Guests First#34; attitude, engaging in friendly conversation with guests as you perform duties such as:/span/b/pullipbspanSuggesting new menu items from our limited time offerings./span/b/p/lilipbspanReceiving payment and making correct change./span/b/p/lilipbspanAssisting with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees./span/b/p/lilipbspanCleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed./span/b/p/lilipbspanWillingly assisting other team members without being asked./span/b/p/lilipbspanProviding total guest satisfaction./span/b/p/lilipbspanGreets and welcomes all customers immediately upon arrival and verifies number in their party.  Determines special needs, e.g., high chairs, special menus./span/b/p/lilipbspanCollects payment from customers immediately, in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquires about food/service satisfaction and handles customer complaints/suggestions appropriately./span/b/p/lilipbspanSeats customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant, and introduces feature of the day./span/b/p/lilipbspanKeeps hostess area stocked and clean, e.g., to-go items and bakery products./span/b/p/lilipbspanHandles incoming telephone calls immediately, and takes to go orders as appropriate./span/b/p/lilipbspanMaintains proper supply of clean menus./span/b/p/lilipbspanPeriodically supplies customers with initial beverage suggestions and provides beverage order and refills./span/b/p/lilipbspanAssists service personnel in clearing and setting tables./span/b/p/lilipbspanResolves complaints as he/she becomes aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received./span/b/p/lilibspanAssists other service personnel as needed./span/b/li/ulpbspan​/span/b/pp/pp style="text-align:inherit"nbsp;/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bThe typical pay range for this role is: /b/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pMinimum:$16.00 - Maximum:$19.20p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bPlease note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which the position falls.
