CUSTOMER SVC/LEAD - Part-time

Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others./ph3Responsibilities/h3divul liCreate an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store./li liGain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products./li liReport pricing and scanning discrepancies to the appropriate manager./li liProcess customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently./li liEnsure customer returns and exchanges are handled to satisfy customers while in compliance with company policies and procedures./li liCommunicate new and on-going special programs and promotions with customers./li liFollow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, money orders, gift certificates, lottery, and Western Union money transfers./li liHandle funds, coupons, and tenders according to company policy./li liStock and inventory department merchandise./li liMaintain an awareness of inventory and stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity./li liLabel, stock and inventory department merchandise./li liReport product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager./li liDisplay a positive attitude./li liStay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads./li liAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines./li liReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management./li liNotify management of customer or team member accidents./li liReport all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity including- robbery, theft or fraud./li liCollaborate with team members to encourage teamwork./li liAdhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines./li liMust be able to oversee the total store operations in absence of Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Front End Manager./li liMay be responsible for opening or closing of store depending on your shift./li liMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation./li /ul/divh3Qualifications/h3divul liCashier/li liCustomer Service Experience/li liSecond language/li liAbility to handle stressful situations/li liEffective communication skills/li liKnowledge of basic math/li liStanding or walking- 100 percent of the time/li liLifting- average of 40 pounds/li liPushing and pulling/li liManual dexterity/li liBending, twisting, and turning/li liReading Comprehension/li liTalking- good verbal skills with customers and employees/li liListening- good communications with customers and employees/li liRepetitive motion of hands and wrists/li liMust be 21 years old/li /ul/divh2Company/h2divdiv Based in Indiana, Jay C merged with The Kroger Company in 1999.
