Product knowledge is essential and must know all aspects of the menu and beverage offerings. Assist in monitoring the guests#39; needs. Maintain and support our resort#39;s Core Values./ppstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pul type="disc"liCheck station assigned to you prior to opening for cleanliness of work areas./liliServe guest orders promptly and according to the service manual./liliDo all necessary set-up side work as per side work schedules./liliAttend Pre-Shift at the designated time./liliBe aware of daily additions, soups, drinks, and ldquo;86rdquo; items./liliBe knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnish, contents, and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any questions about the menu in a direct, concise way./liliAssist the host/hostess with prompt and courteous greeting and seating of guests./liliAccurately practices service standards on a daily basis./liliCan recite all menu items and ingredients of each item./liliCan recite all Premium/Super Premium items ndash; beer, wines, liquors and knows prices ndash; can open a bottle of wine./liliCan ring up all to, close guest checks, and does paperwork accurately./liliEnsure the check is presented in a timely fashion./liliCan answer basic questions, give directions and information about the resort and local areas./liliEnsure timely beverage refills./liliUses daily opportunity to upsell when taking orders i.e. appetizers, desserts, and beverages./liliPractices ldquo;aggressive hospitalityrdquo; as outlined in Famp;B Service Standard Manual./liliBe able to operate Micros POS (where applicable).
