Operates forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight./pp/ppbMajor Tasks and Responsibilities/b/pulliLoads and unloads trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations./liliOperates dock tools to ensure freight is loaded securely and properly, including maintaining straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage./liliLoads, recoups, rewraps, and stacks freight as needed./liliVerifies shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for both loading and unloading trailers./liliFollows established bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, claims-free, and cost-efficient shipments./liliLogs, reports, and processes any shortages and damages to freight./liliPromotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment./li/ulp/ppbPreferred Qualifications/b/pulliHigh school diploma or GED./liliWarehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience./liliForklift certification or hazmat training./liliAbility to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights./li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"spanspanspanspan class="WDH1"               /span/span/span/span/pPay Rate: $24.50 - $28.00 per hour, based on experiencep style="text-align:inherit"spanspanspanspan class="WDH1"               /span/span/span/span/ppbbBenefits/b/b/ppspanAt Saia, your success is our success!
