This state of the art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment./spanbr /br /buspanPosition Overview/span/u/bbr /br /spanReporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the Production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment/spanbr /br /buspanKey Responsibilities/span/u/bbr / /pulliAdhere to safety policies, programs, procedures/liliInspect raw material and finish products per quality specifications/liliConduct quality checks at regular intervals/liliOperate manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instruction./liliOperate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift/liliEnter waste, downtime data into system./liliGeneral housekeeping duties/liliAdditional duties as assigned/li/ulpbuspanQualifications/span/u/bbr / /pulliMinimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred/liliMinimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred/liliComfortable with standing for extended periods of time/liliManual dexterity/liliAttention to detail/liliAbility to follow direction and specific instructions/liliGood communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and Speaking/li/ulpbuspanPhysical Requirements/span/u/bbr / /pulliMust be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis/liliMust be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift/liliMust be able to work at heights and in confined spaces/li/ulpspanThis is a full time unionized permanent position./spanbr /br /spanPay Range: $20.39 per hour/spanbr /br /bspanBenefits of Employment:/span/bspan IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
