operation and achievement of sales results, while assuring the delivery of excellent customer/donor service.nbsp;nbsp;Manages the processing of donated goods, and works with the storersquo;s managers to ensure staff is properly trained and performing effectively.nbsp;nbsp;Responsible for opening and closing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Key Holder./ppJob Duties/ppManagement Duties/pulliSupervises the processing of donated goods in a timely and accurate manner while following the production systemulliFosters team work among management staff to accomplish store goals/liliCoaches, trains and develops (management) team and oversees the training of store personnel/liliDelegate, as needed, the daily and weekly scheduling of staff/liliAddresses employee issues by resolving employee complaints and concerns, providing ongoing performance feedback, conducting formal performance appraisals, and counseling employees as necessary/liliAdministers disciplinary actions in coordination with the Area Manager and under the general auspices of the Human Resources department/li/ul/liliResponsible for the store#39;s overall operation, including maintaining daily and weekly reporting of sales, donations and overall financial resultsulliResponsible for store revenue goals and budgeted expenses/liliContributes toward store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales, manage inventory and labor costs/liliEnsures the accuracy of all cash handling and cash register functions. nbsp;Ensures proper accounting for all store revenue/liliOrganizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates effective customer service and a profitable operation/liliEnsures the store#39;s appearance is properly maintained/liliEnsures compliance with all store policy and procedures, especially in the Store Manual, Safety Manual, and the Employee HandbookulliTrains and develops staff in all aspects of their responsibilities, including adherence to all safety and company protocols and procedures promote a safe, productive work environment/liliEnsures all company policies, store standards and procedures are communicated effectively to staff and adhered to in a consistent manner/li/ul/li/ul/liliEnsures good customer/donor relations by maintaining high standards of customer service. nbsp;Continually reinforces customer service standards, as well as Goodwill#39;s mission/liliCompletes various administrative duties, including:ulliCommunicates transportation needs and concerns with the Area Manager/liliOpens and closes the store in a timely and thorough manner/liliReports Facilities issues and problems that need attention/liliMakes daily deposits/li/ul/li/ulpBack of Store Duties/pulliMaintain well organized and clean production areaulliFacilitate the (un)loading of product from/to company trucks/li/ul/liliTrains employees regarding the processing, sorting, hanging and organization of donated goods/liliGreets donors and receives merchandise, providing donor with an itemized receipt, if desiredulliMay remove donations from donor#39;s vehicle/li/ul/liliBreaks down donation in to appropriate bins of like merchanise/liliExamines shoes, electrical, and mechanical merchandise and other non-clothing items to determine, appropriateness for sales floor, in accordance with established standards/liliPlace salable clothing on hangers to meet established quotas. nbsp;Hangs clothing on racks for transporting to the sales floor, keeping similar types of clothing grouped together/liliCounts and records pieces of clothing hungulliAssures production counts are achieved/liliPlaces unsellable clothing in appropriate bins/li/ul/li/ulpFront of Store Duties/pulliTrains employees regarding proper register procedures and proper floor layout and placement of product/liliProcesses customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer/liliAssists customers with shopping needs/liliPulls racks to transfer clothing from the (back) production room to the sales floor and places clothes on the sales floor racksulliEnsures that clothes are placed on sales racks with similar types of colors of clothing/li/ul/liliEnsures that the sales floor is kept clean, neat and properly displayedulliRearranges clothing on racks and items on shelves, removes items from the floor, dusts and pulls clothes from racks when they are too full/liliAssures pulls are completed/li/ul/liliReports known or suspected and/or theft problems to the Area Manager, Director of Retail or Director of Risk Management, as Required/li/ulpOther duties as assigned, including travel to other stores on an as-needed basis/ppMinimum Qualifications/pulliHigh School or GED preferred/liliMinimum of 2 year prior retail management experience preferred./liliTwo- or four-year degree preferred, or equivalent work experience/liliDemonstration of team leadership skills/liliStrong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to read and comprehend/liliAdvanced customer service skills/liliAbility to promote and be responsible for workplace safety/liliAbility to handle customer/donor/employee relations (in the absence of a Store Manager)/liliValues diversity/liliProficiency with POS reporting procedures/liliEnergy and enthusiasm to help others/liliDemonstrated interest in a career in retail/liliStrong knowledge of financial management/liliAbility to do basic math calculations/liliAbility to use a computer/iPad with a basic knowledge of Word, Excel and other Office programs. nbsp;Must be able to use basic office equipment such as telephone and fax machine/liliAbility to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds/liliAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays/liliReliable transportation and a valid driver#39;s
