pDescription/ppThe Clocktower Hotel at Century House is looking for a houseperson to fill an immediate opening in Latham, NY. Daytime and evening shifts are available, and the days of the week may vary. The houseperson is responsible for upholding the company’s cleanliness standards for all common areas located in the hotel. This position helps create a welcoming environment for all hotel guests. Prior hotel housekeeping experience is preferred./ppbr//ppstrongPRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES/strong/ppbr//ppstrongCleaning Responsibilities/strong/pulliChecks in with the front desk for assignments or special projects/liliCleans public restrooms and cabanas, including cleaning sinks, toilets, mirrors, mopping floors, and restocking amenities./liliVacuums common areas, including the exercise room, hotel hallways, and stairs./liliResponsible for cleaning all meeting rooms and common areas, including removing garbage, vacuuming, and cleaning windowsills./liliWhen assigned, checks the pH and chlorine levels of the pool at 9:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 3:00 pm./liliWhen assigned, cleans filter baskets, hooks up the phone, and vacuums pool when needed./liliWhen assigned, opens the pool by unlocking the gate, opening umbrellas, and emptying the garbage./liliRemoves snow by shoveling and salting as needed./liliCompletes daily checklists/li/ulpstrongGuest Service/strong/pulliOffers guests assistance whenever possible./liliResponsible for resolving or escalating customer relations issues./liliAnswers inquiries about hotel policies and services./liliEnsures all guest requests for additional items have been completed by assisting with luggage and delivering extra towels as needed./liliResponsible for positively representing and promoting the property./liliEnsures systems and procedures are followed for guest safety and security./li/ulpstrongOther Duties as Assigned/strong/pulliCompletes daily housekeeping report/liliReports any maintenance, security, or safety issues to the appropriate staff./liliInspects rooms and reports any broken items, such as beds, chairs, and fixtures to management./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpnbsp;/ppemstrongSalary/strong/em/pp· $15.50 - $17.00 per hour/ppRequirements/ppstrongSKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, AND EXPERIENCE/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant work experience required./liliPrevious housekeeping experience is highly preferred./liliAbility to work efficiently under time constraints./liliSuperior customer service skills./liliAbility to work with cleaning chemicals./liliMust be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds frequently./liliMust be able to reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl./liliThe employee is frequently required to climb or balance and talk or hear./liliThe employee is occasionally required to sit and smell./liliAble to work a flexible schedule./li/ulpbr//p
