Sterling, VA. /ppspanThis is an opportunity for an experienced Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) System Administrator to join a dynamic team./spanspan /span/ppSpecific responsibilities include:/pp- Establish effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment pipeline (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments);/pp- Administer and maintain multiple Linux environments, establish and enforce configuration management controls, perform security patches on the LAMP stack and contributed modules, and manage the deployment of custom code;/pp- Work with infrastructure and operations teams to establish monitoring, backup and logging procedures for all environments;/pp- Propose and implement enhancements to improve the security, performance and reliability of the environments;/pp- Utilize administrative knowledge of the system to aid in the Security Authorization Process required to host the application in the Government infrastructure./ppbr //pstrongQualifications:/strongpQualifications:/ppspan- MUST BE A US CITIZEN SINCE THE OPENING IS FOR A GOVERNMENT CLIENT/span/pp- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field./pp- Minimum of 6 years experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of LAMP stack software environments – Linux (Redhat), Apache (Tomcat, HTTPD) Server, MySQL 5.1+ database, and PHP, preferably in a large, multi-server environment./pp- Experience creating technical documentation, such as system architecture, application configurations and software deployment checklists./pp- Demonstrated knowledge of website and application security principles and best practices./pp- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with the client, developers, end-users, and other stakeholders to review, validate, and implement deployment and administrative requirements./pp- Strong task leadership, planning, reporting, and communication skills./ppbr //ppspanNice to Have:/span/ppspan - Experience in developing Java applications/span/pstrongAdditional Information:/strongpAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines./pp/pp1099/Corp-to-Corp considered as well./pp/pp/p
