It is a senior developer position that requires significant experience in Java development and an interest and ability to learn in the data analytics area:/pp Java/HTML5/CSS/Web Services operational applications. Requires a strong Object Oriented background and web and application server administration support./ppData Warehouse/Analytics expertise with a multi-tiered architecture based on Hadoop, RDBMS data infrastructure using near-real-time data integration using Pentaho and Business Analytics using Jaspersoft, Tableau, and other BI tools. /ppPreferred candidates will have some background in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Data Base Administration/Design skills. /ppPreferred candidates will also have some experience or interest in basic systems administration tasks. /ppspanJob Responsibilities/span/ppDeveloper on the HTML/Java applications as well as the Data Warehouse with support from other developers and contractors. /ppspanTasks include:/span/ppMaintenance and Enhancements for our Java/HTML5/CSS operational applications (possibly cross-departmental)/ppDevelopment, design and support for data warehouse development activities including Pentaho, Hadoop, and various RDBMSs./ppSoftware configuration management and the successful installation of new software releases and system upgrades. /ppSupports SSAE16 compliance for Analytics solutions./ppMust have significant knowledge and experience with developing, testing, deploying and maintaining Java/HTML5/CSS applications./ppMust have a working knowledge of system and software configuration management tools such as Perforce, Git,./ppMust proactively stay current with information technology platforms, directions and upgrade paths. Curiosity and persistence in understanding new systems and technical issue resolution is a must./ppDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects./ppAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision and work well with others to solve problems./ppMust be able to participate in agile project management teams using Rally and a ticket tracking system to reliably and report on project status and workload management./ppStrong communication and organizational skills./ppA commitment to customer service for both internal and external customers. /ppMust be able to spend long hours at a computer workstation./ppMust be able to work flexible or extended hours as needed to meet deadlines./ppBS in Business, Math, Computer Science or other Information Technology/Business degree or significant work experience./pp2+ years of Java web based application design, development, testing, maintenance and operational management./ppProven project delivery record, delivering technology and business intelligence solutions following industry standard methodologies (Agile preferredl)/ppExperience following structured software development methodologies – Agile approaches preferred./ppSkills, Knowledge and Abilities/ppMust have significant knowledge and experience with developing, testing, deploying and maintaining Java/HTML5/CSS applications./ppMust have a working knowledge of system and software configuration management tools such as Perforce, Git,./ppMust proactively stay current with information technology platforms, directions and upgrade paths.
