Reata Glen is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a variety of villas and apartment homes to hundreds of residents./p pstrongPart-Time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am- 3:30pm/strong/p ul li$21/hr Based on experience/li liFull-Time benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance./li li401k with employer match./li liCommuter reimbursement./li liOpportunity for daily pay and tuition assistance./li /ul p /p pstrongPRINCIPLE DUTIES:/strong/p ul liMaintains floors and carpets within the Community./li liPicks up and removes trash from trash rooms, offices and other locations within the Community./li liCleans all public areas./li liProvides preventive maintenance to housekeeping machines such as vacuums, carpet shampooers and floor machines./li liCompletes all meeting room setups in auditorium, arts and crafts room, lobby, etc./li liMaintains all exterior grounds and amenities throughout shift./li liProperly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when required to perform specific job duties./li liOther duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to daily operations of laundry services with the Environmental Services Department./li liTeam player./li /ul pstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p ul liPrevious janitor experience strongly preferred/li liAbility to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic./li liPrevious floor maintenance experience strongly preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care procedures, techniques, and supplies preferred, but not required./li liAbility to understand and follow in instructions in English and communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic./li liWillingness to perform routines, repetitive tasks./li liAbility to drive utility vehicles/li liHospitality � greets residents with a smile, makes eye contact and friendly./li liCA Driver License/li /ul pstrongCRITICAL FUNCTION:/strong/p ul listrongThis position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee./strong/li /ul pstrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:/strong/p pModerate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day. Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. When lifting loads over 50 lbs, use two or more people. It is your responsibility to ask for assistance. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 300 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces for long distances.
