CNC Swiss Machinist

Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"This person will be the subject matter expert (SME) for the Swiss Machining team.  The CNC Swiss Machinist will perform set-ups, operate, troubleshoot and verify the quality of work in the CNC Swiss Machining area.  This position performs routine or repetitive operations that meet production standards and quality requirements.  /span/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"3rd Shift: 10pm-6am (Sunday-Thursday)/span/p Responsibilities: ulli style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Set-up and operate CNC Swiss machines. (Citizen L12 and L20)/span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Command, retrieve, input, edit CNC programs, detect errors and adjust as neededspan style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Noto Sans', sans-serif;"./span/span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Adjust tools and replace as necessary./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Ensure written manufacturing and other procedures are being followed. Ensure proper compliance with company policies and quality regulations./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Read and understand layouts, job travelers and blueprints./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Have a good understanding of tooling and tooling applications./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000;"Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Follow set-up procedures and recommend improvements./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Troubleshootspan style="text-decoration: line-through;"s/span complex machining job problems without supervisionspan style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"./span/span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Assist operators in machining parts to specification, perform measurements, visual checks and examine results on all products for visual and dimensional defects to ensure conformance using precision instruments such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, OGP, etc./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Assist in process development with engineers, technicians and supervisors./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Be involved with and perform pre-production and program validation related to changes in new products and tooling./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Recognize problem and/or unsafe processes and recommend alternatives./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Train new and existing operators in proper manufacturing and quality procedures for production./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Ensure preventative maintenance duties are completed for equipment and maintain a clean and safe work area./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Employee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Actively participate in continuous improvement activities. /span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="color: #000000;"Other duties as assigned. /span/li/ul Required Qualifications: ullispan style="color: #000000;"High School diploma or Equivalent; degree or certificate in Machine Tool Technology./span/lilispan style="color: #000000;"2-4 years’ related experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience./span/lilispan style="color: #000000;"Familiar with operating Citizen L12 and/or L20./span/lilispan style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000;"Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and can work well as a part of a team./span/lilispan style="color: #000000;"Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes./span/lilispan style="color: #000000;"Ability to work under minimal supervision./span/lilispan style="color: #000000;"Strong communication and organizational skills. /span/li/ul Preferred Qualifications: ulli style="margin-left: .25in;"Prior experience and/or training in production setting and comparable manufacturing preferred./lili style="margin-left: .25in;"Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup and operate CNC Swiss machines, including pre-setting of tools./lili style="margin-left: .25in;"Ability to read and edit programs. /lili style="margin-left: .25in;"span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"Familiarity with ISO Quality System, particularly in medical device manufacturing./span/lili style="margin-left: .25in;"Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications./lili style="margin-left: .25in;"Srong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math. /li/ul Compensation: p style="margin: 0px;"The span class="mark6t58xev3n" data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb=""compensation/span for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $31-34/hr/p
