Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit on night shift, requiring an active MI RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details\n

• specialty setting within a 225-bed hospital's Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics floor (24 beds)
\n
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with a mix of adult ortho/neuro trauma and post-op cases and a general pediatric unit
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:6
\n
• Night shift (NOC) 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n
• Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Floating required to other inpatient units as needed
\n
• Currently uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
\n
• Level 2 Trauma Center
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• . PALS certification preferred
\n
• Active MI RN license required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including adult med/surg experience
\n
• Pediatric experience preferred
\n
• ADN required
\n
• Prior adult and pediatric ortho/neuro trauma and post-op experience preferred
\n
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Care for patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological trauma and surgery, as well as general pediatric patients
\n
• Work under the supervision of 1-2 unit supervisors
\n
• Galaxy Blue scrub color required
\n
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
\n
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
\n
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
\n
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
\n
