Position Overview\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring responses to treatment, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

\n

The RN follows the Texas Nursing Practice Act and applicable hospital policies, prioritizes patient safety, and delegates responsibilities appropriately based on patient needs and team competencies.

Essential Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments and prioritize the needs of critically ill patients and their families.

\n

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust individualized plans of care.

\n

• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and respond appropriately to emergencies.

\n

• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and provide appropriate interventions.

\n

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care needs.

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support positive outcomes.

• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide guidance to other members of the healthcare team.

• Location: College Station, Texas
\n • Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
\n • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n • Scheduling: Self scheduling
\n • Unit size: 16 beds
\n • Patient population: Medical, surgical, cardiac, and some trauma patients
\n • Typical patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:3, depending on acuity

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare.   • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • \n
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing.
  • \n
  • RN license.

  • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
