Emergency Department (ED) Unit OverviewStart Requirements\n- \n
- Immediate need – RN must be able to start ASAP. \n
- Complete 4 hours of billable computer modules:\n
- \n
- Modules are sent Monday–Tuesday of the week before the start date. \n
- Must be completed by 7:00 AM on the Friday before the start date. \n
- Add the 4 billable hours to the first week's timesheet. \n

- TNS or TNCC \n
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) \n

- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience. \n
- \n
- 30-bed Emergency Department\n
- \n
- 27 medical ED beds \n
- 3 ED psychiatric beds \n
\n - Average daily census: Approximately 120 patients/day (range 100–140). \n
- Staffing: Based on average daily census (ADC) with various shift lengths. \n
- Assignment model: POD nursing. \n
- \n
- Level II Trauma Center \n
- Level II Stroke Center \n
- Chest Pain Accredited \n
- Full-service treatment center for Sexual Assault Survivors (SANE-capable services) \n
