Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Firearm Sales Associate at Teng Artillery Vault, Inc. located in Lincoln, CA. The Firearm Sales Associate will be responsible for sales of firearms, accessories, and ammunition, providing customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with all firearms regulations.

The Sales position is responsible for maintaining guest service, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS), loss prevention and other duties related to the retail operations of LAPRAAC.

The Firearms Retail Manager supervises this position. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
• Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
• Accurately and efficiently, complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Tolerate long periods of standing while performing daily activities.
• Competencies*
• Demonstrated excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively as well as receive and execute oral and written instructions in English.
• Experienced in retail sale of firearms, ammunition, and associated gear.
• Knowledge of police firearm sale procedures a plus.
• Comfortable working without assistance on Federal, State and local gun sale paperwork.
• Obtain and keep updated, knowledge of firearms and other gear sold in stores.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Education – Experience - Requirements*
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED required.
• EXPERIENCE: a minimum of 1 year of experience in a firearms retail environment.
• BACKGROUND: Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background checks is mandatory.
• GROOMING AND APPEARANCE: LAPRAAC maintain a neat and professional image at all times.
• CERTIFICATE: Due to the sale of ammunition and firearms, incumbent must be at least 21 years old and successfully obtain and maintain eligibility for all the necessary permits.
