Job Summary:
The Cabinet Assembler will be responsible for constructing and assembling a variety of cabinets in accordance with detailed blueprints and specifications. This role requires a strong background in woodworking, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpretation & Planning:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine cabinet dimensions and materials required.
- Review design specifications to plan the assembly process and select appropriate materials.
Assembly & Installation:
- Assemble cabinet components using adhesives, screws, nails, and other fasteners to ensure precise alignment and structural integrity.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides according to design requirements.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
Quality Control:
- Inspect finished cabinets for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments and repairs to meet company standards.
- Maintain consistent craftsmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.
Workplace Maintenance:
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Communicate effectively regarding project progress and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a cabinet assembler or in a related woodworking or carpentry role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to safely operate both hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and assembling components.
- Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
