The CT Tech independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and the administration of contrast media. The CT Technologist works within their scope of practice to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging while coordinating patient flow and maintaining efficient CT department operations. 

\n

CT Tech Responsibilities: 
\n • Independently perform CT examinations utilizing proper imaging techniques and protocols. 
\n • Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with licensure, certification, and departmental policies. 
\n • Perform venipuncture procedures as required for contrast administration. 
\n • Coordinate patient flow and daily activities of the CT scanner to ensure efficient operations. 
\n • Exercise professional judgment to maintain imaging equipment in proper working condition and identify equipment concerns. 
\n • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality care throughout all imaging procedures. 
\n • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. 
\n • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care. 
\n • Perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed based on departmental requirements. 
\n • Participate in on-call coverage and work assigned weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as scheduled.

CT Tech Qualifications: 

\n

• ARRT CT certification  

\n

• Current OH licensure  

\n

• Current AHA BLS certification  

\n

• Experience performing CT procedures and administering contrast media. 

\n

• Knowledge of CT imaging equipment, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices. 

\n

• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. 

\n

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
