\nNA IIs work under the direction of an RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Responsibilities include:
\nDirect patient care delivery, including, but not limited to:
\nADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints
\nCommunication and documentation of interventions and observations
\nParticipation in quality improvement process
\nInvolved in learning and self-improvement
\nInitiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers - why UH

Education Requirements
\nEnrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor’s degree of Nursing from an accredited program
\nSuccessful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required

Preferred Qualifications
\nPrior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
