Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Las Cruces, NM.

Details\n

\n
• Outpatient imaging center setting within a Mammography unit
\n
• Procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic breast biopsies
\n
• GE mammography equipment used
\n
• Documentation systems include Meditech and Change Healthcare PACS
\n
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• No floating required
\n
• Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience required
\n
• ARRT (R)(M) certification required
\n
• Active NM State License required (license required if applicable)
\n
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
\n
• Experience in screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, and stereotactic breast biopsies
\n
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
\n
• All required certifications must be active prior to start
\n

Additional Information\n

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic breast biopsies in an outpatient imaging environment
\n
• All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted prior to hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while awaiting results but must be supervised during that period
\n
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
\n
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
\n
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
\n
• Scrubs in any color are required
\n
• The facility is Joint Commission Accredited and holds certifications as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center
\n
• Las Cruces, NM offers year-round sunshine, proximity to White Sands National Park, the Organ Mountains, and 250+ miles of hiking and biking trails
