Position Summary:

Spark Talent is currently looking for Press Maintenance Technicians on the 2nd and 3rd shift for a client in the Chelsea, MI area. Direct Hire opportunity with a competitive salary! The Press Maintenance Technician will apply knowledge and expertise in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance service. They will also participate in advanced troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives by providing appropriate technical knowledge to recommend and implement improvements and corrective actions. Various technologies will be employed including stamping presses. Pay is $24-$30 based on experience/interview!

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting activities, implement corrective actions, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure capability for stamping presses
• Utilize advanced technical skills to install, maintain, and repair equipment which may include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Respond to work orders and assure timely resolution of request
• Inspect and maintain existing equipment to ensure production of quality products that comply with company and customer standards and specifications
• Monitor inventory of items required to perform necessary duties, and submit procurement requests as required

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret prints
• Ability to obtain hilo and crane certifications
• Ability to work at heights using manlifts and ladders, as well as the performance of roof work
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic electrical (DC and AC voltage), welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, and spot), and plumbing knowledge

Preferred Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree
• Advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC’s
• Minimum of 5 years documented related experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in production stamping facility working with presses and heavy dies
